Ross Breast Center provides comprehensive breast health services to women in Lindale, Texas and surrounding communities. Our practice is dedicated to offering compassionate, professional care in a comfortable environment. We understand that breast health concerns can be stressful, which is why we prioritize creating a welcoming atmosphere where patients feel at ease. Our team of experienced healthcare professionals uses advanced imaging technology to provide accurate diagnostic services while maintaining the highest standards of patient care. Located conveniently in Lindale, we serve as a trusted resource for women seeking breast health services, whether for routine screening or diagnostic evaluation.
We offer a full range of breast imaging services including digital mammography, 3D mammography (tomosynthesis), breast ultrasound, and breast MRI when indicated. Our digital mammography equipment provides high-quality images with reduced radiation exposure compared to traditional film-based systems. The 3D mammography technology allows our radiologists to examine breast tissue layer by layer, which can be particularly helpful for women with dense breast tissue. For patients requiring additional evaluation, we provide ultrasound-guided procedures and can perform needle-localized biopsies when necessary. We also offer breast health consultations and can coordinate care with referring physicians to ensure comprehensive management of any findings.
Our services address various breast health needs including routine screening mammograms for asymptomatic women, diagnostic mammograms for those with symptoms or abnormal findings, and follow-up imaging for patients with previous breast procedures. We evaluate common breast concerns such as lumps, pain, nipple discharge, and skin changes. Our team can assess women with personal or family histories of breast cancer, including those with genetic risk factors. We also provide evaluation for patients with breast implants, whether for routine screening or assessment of potential complications. Additionally, we offer guidance for women with benign breast conditions such as cysts, fibroadenomas, and other non-cancerous findings.
Serving Lindale and surrounding communities, we are committed to providing accessible breast health services to women throughout East Texas. Our location makes it convenient for patients from Tyler, Mineola, Canton, Athens, and other nearby areas to receive high-quality care without traveling long distances to larger metropolitan centers. We understand the importance of timely access to breast health services, which is why we strive to accommodate patients efficiently while maintaining thorough, careful evaluation. Our practice works closely with local physicians and healthcare systems to ensure seamless communication and coordinated care for our patients.
Your first visit to Ross Breast Center will involve registration and completion of a brief health history questionnaire. Please bring any previous breast imaging reports and mammograms on CD if available, as comparison with prior studies helps our radiologists provide the most accurate assessment. For a screening mammogram, you will be escorted to a private changing area where you will remove clothing from the waist up and put on a gown. The mammography technologist will position you for each image, which takes only a few seconds per view. The entire screening process typically takes about 15-20 minutes. If you are having a diagnostic procedure, additional time may be needed for targeted imaging or ultrasound. Our staff will explain each step of the process and answer any questions you may have.
Question: How often should I have a screening mammogram? Answer: For most women at average risk, annual screening mammograms beginning at age 40 are recommended. However, the appropriate screening interval may vary based on your individual risk factors, family history, and previous findings. We recommend discussing your specific situation with your healthcare provider to determine the best screening plan for you.
Question: What should I expect after my mammogram? Answer: After your mammogram, you can typically resume normal activities immediately. You will receive information about when and how you will receive your results, usually within a few business days. If additional imaging or evaluation is needed, our office will contact you to schedule any necessary follow-up. We encourage all patients to contact us if they have not received their results within the timeframe provided.
