Your first visit to Ross Breast Center will involve registration and completion of a brief health history questionnaire. Please bring any previous breast imaging reports and mammograms on CD if available, as comparison with prior studies helps our radiologists provide the most accurate assessment. For a screening mammogram, you will be escorted to a private changing area where you will remove clothing from the waist up and put on a gown. The mammography technologist will position you for each image, which takes only a few seconds per view. The entire screening process typically takes about 15-20 minutes. If you are having a diagnostic procedure, additional time may be needed for targeted imaging or ultrasound. Our staff will explain each step of the process and answer any questions you may have.
