Your first visit to SimonMed Imaging - Med Center is designed to be straightforward and comfortable. When you arrive, you’ll be greeted by our friendly front desk staff who will assist with any paperwork and verify your insurance information. If you have a referral from your doctor, please bring it with you. You may also be asked to complete a brief medical history form so we can tailor the imaging process to your needs. Once checked in, a technologist will guide you to the imaging suite and explain the procedure in detail. Depending on the type of scan, you may be asked to change into a gown and remove any metal objects. The technologist will ensure you are positioned correctly and will communicate with you throughout the process. Most imaging exams are painless and take anywhere from a few minutes to about an hour. After your scan, our radiologists will review the images and send a report to your referring physician, typically within one to two business days.
